February PowerSchool Housekeeping Items
At this point in the school year some of the tasks your school needs to complete may include:
- After the second marking period grades are stored:
- Run and verify the 7 semester rank. Save the 7 semester rank to custom student rank fields.
- If your school has honor roll you must first run the honor roll calculation and you can then run and review honor roll reports.
- If your district uses paperless grade verification update the grade verification settings and reset the grade verifications.
- Update the Active Term to Q3 (Start Page > School > Current Grade Display).
- Update the Quick Look Up Preferences so that the Q2 source of data is Historical (Stored) (Start Page > School > Quick Lookup Preferences). Adjust other Quick Lookup Preferences as needed.
- Update the Parent/Student Access term to Q3 (Start Page > School > Parent/Student Access).
- Restore PowerScheduler access for schedulers who work in PowerScheduler.
- Complete phase I of scheduling which consists of setting up the PowerScheduler scheduling shell for the next school year so that you can begin work on the master schedule and enter student course requests.
- Create the new school year in PowerSchool under (Start Page > School > Years & Terms). We recommend using an 8/10/2020 start date for the 2020-2021 school year.
