WNYRIC Employees Donate $8,000 to Ronald McDonald House of Buffalo
WNYRIC’s Josh Blair and Dave Kajdasz presented a check for $8,000 to Ronald McDonald House of Buffalo Executive Director, Marianne Hoover. The money represents the proceeds from the 21st Annual WNYRIC Open Golf Tournament. This year’s donation is the largest in the history of the tournament; double what was raised at the last event in 2021. This brings the total donated to Ronald McDonald House of Buffalo to $56,000 since the partnership with the annual tournament.
The WNYRIC Open is celebrating more than a decade of partnership with the Ronald McDonald House of Buffalo. Funds raised will benefit the renovations underway at the Ronald McDonald House on W. Ferry St. in the City of Buffalo. Renovations will make the House more accessible to the families who stay at the facility while their children receive medical care from area providers. Organizers have announced that proceeds for the 2023 golf tournament will again benefit the Ronald McDonald House of Buffalo.
The 2022 WNYRIC Open took place on July 21 at Byrncliff Golf Resort in Varysburg, NY. It featured ninety-eight golfers comprised of WNYRIC and Erie 1 BOCES employees, as well as regional technology vendors and friends of the WNYRIC. The event is a 4-person scramble and invites golfers of all skill sets. Beyond just golf, the WNYRIC Open raises funds through vendor sponsorships, raffles and a split club.
Congratulations to event organizers and volunteers Josh Blair, Dave Kajdasz, Lisa Silvaroli and Matt Ellis on a great event!
